[SIC] DAY THREE HUNDRED ELEVEN
I went away for the weekend for the celebration of my mom’s life. It was tough, emotional, gratifying, edifying, fun. Satisfying. I’m grateful for it. And all who joined.
Anyway, Marcella and the kids came with me, so we left the house and the dogs behind. My buddy
jumped in to hang with them, and to use the empty house to put the finishing touches on The Risk Issue of Byline. I said to her: if you want to have cool friends over, go for it.On Tuesday we came home. House was in good stead. But there were some clues things might have … gotten interesting. Case in point
’s card(above), left on our dining table.Wait, there was a party big enough to justify intro / business cards?!
As it turns out, no. Rex DeTiger is just about this.
What’s amazing:
Rex is making a card for everything social occasion.
He’s plugged into Shopify, drop-shipper style to commemorate every social interaction - and only makes ‘exclusive’ items if there’s demand, out of sight of the end consumer’s view.
there’s an intuitive and organic ways for brands to get in there - but none (appear to have) done so.
I won’t belabor this point, but I thing Rex is onto something very interesting. And, very modular and scalable (my favorite). I have no skin in this game, but if you end up with any, don’t forget who put you on. 🫠
